Ourselves being somewhat extreme renovation freaks, we dreamed of a central place that would provide the latest news on construction down to fixup tools. Hello, I’m Andrew. In my very early years I have wicked memories of working on my uncles farm where we used everything form pegs to arc welders and this is probably where I got my passion for creating useful stuff. Then in high school I hogged a little part of my parents basement as I started making custom guitars for friends, I think it was about then I started a facination for really high quality tools, those that didn’t only get the job done, but did it damn well and saved tons of time. It was very delicate work on very hard stuff.
As the years went by, I always considered that most things you can’t buy, not if you want satisfaction from making it yourself and done the right way. There is so much crap stapled together and made to only last a few years, it’s sad. But what I probably find even more sad is how people don’t realize how much therapy can be obtained from getting submerged into a nice little DIY project. I can tell you that working for a big corporations most of my life, my renovations and wood working projects kept me sane. It’s not a joke.
I decided to pitch this site to a few friends that share interest in DIY and tool that get it done. I just wanted to created a place that you can get the latest news when your away from the home or workshop. I’m very open so sent me any comments or suggestions you have.
