Shuttercraft - traditional and stylish

Remember when i was very, very young and I was watching live footage of a crowd in communist Russia. The one thing I asked my father was why everyone was dressed the same? He laughed and explained that they only manufacture one thing, unlike us we compete with each other and make different and/or better stuff.

However it sometimes makes me sad to walk around some neighborhoods and often think back to that day, with all the same sheds, garage doors and shutters, it’s a horrible sight. It comes to our laziness I guess and I’m just as guilty as many others. See? We think it’s easier getting all the same stuff at our local hardware store when in fact there are many small manufacturers that really care about the products they make.

I came across Shuttercraft’s catalog the other day and realized how damn ugly my bathroom indoor shutters are after considering that I could have had them in cedar to match the other aspects. I think I’ll get smarter from now on, and a little patience and thinking might just give me a little more gratification in the end.
